In a Facebook post, on 28 Nov 2023, The Navy Recruit Training Command indicated that it is updating its standard operating procedure for Recruit cell phone usage while in basic military training. Over the next few weeks, Recruits in Divisions 033 and 034 will have limited access to their cell phones during designated periods of training in order to connect with family and friends and manage personal matters.
Our intent is to expand this same opportunity to all Recruit Divisions over time. A Frequently Asked Questions page will be provided in the near future to answer questions you may have. Please be patient as we implement this new initiative.
