Applications Available for 2015 Corvias Foundation Educational Grants for Spouses of Active-Duty Service Members

Applications are still available to spouses at 13 Army and Air Force installations nationwide

East Greenwich, R.I. (January 14, 2015) - Corvias Foundation, a White House award-winning private, charitable foundation committed to supporting the pursuit of higher education, are still accepting applications for the 2015 Educational Grants. The Foundation is committed to supporting military families in the pursuit of higher education and has awarded more than $5.5 million in scholarships and grants to children and spouses of active-duty service members since 2006.  


"Each year we are impressed with the quality of our applicants, all military spouses, and their educational ambitions," said Maria Montalvo, Executive Director of the Corvias Foundation. "We are humbled to serve military families, and proud to help them reach their full educational potential."

Applications for 2015 Educational Grants must be submitted by May 7, 2015. Grants are given in the amount of up to $5,000 to spouses of active-duty service members stationed at the military installations listed below. Applicants may be in any stage of the educational process. Corvias Foundation will select ten spouses of active-duty service members stationed at Forts Meade, Bragg, Polk, Rucker, Riley, and Sill, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edwards Air Force Base, Eglin Air Force Base, Eielson Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, McConnell Air Force Base and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.  Recipients of a grant will be notified in July 2015.

Applications and all necessary paperwork for the Educational Grants must be submitted by the due date in order to be considered. Those chosen may begin using their scholarship or grant in the fall of 2015. Individuals do not have to reside in on-post/base housing in order to qualify. Eligible service members stationed at these 13 Army and Air Force installations can serve in any branch of the military.
