A Christmas Homecoming

 A Christmas Homecoming

In June he left on a six month deployment
But that is your job when the Navy's your employment
For six long months I wait, and, I pray,
He will return home on his boats set day.
All I want for Christmas you see,
Is my husbands safe return to me.
A Christmas Homecoming like none before.
He is out there right now fighting a war.
I cannot wait to hold him to see his face,
On that set day to the peir I will race.
For it will be the best day of the year,
A Christmas Homecoming that brings on a tear.
Our Christmas Homecoming
